Project duration: December 2016 - April 2018

Peer Power aims to inspire the setup of new community energy groups in Dorset, and to support existing groups in Devon and Dorset through local peer networks to achieve their energy ambitions. The ultimate aim of the project is to enable more community energy groups to successfully complete energy projects. We will measure the number of projects that come to fruition, MW of renewable energy installed, and £s of investment raised by groups involved in the local networks. This project starts in December 2016 and will run until April 2018.

The exciting programme will include feasts, site visits, training and events to inspire and support groups to develop their projects and learn from each other.

Groups who join the networks in Devon and Dorset will also benefit from:

  • ongoing expert support from Regen
  • free spaces for community women at EWIRE and other specified Regen events
  • travel bursaries to enable community groups to participate in national conferences

Peer Power has been organised in partnership with Dorset County Council and is funded by Power to Change.
