WOMEN IN RENEWABLES Area overviewSee all work areas Our work areas Entrepreneurial Women in Renewable Energy (EWiRE) The Entrepreneurial Women in Renewable Energy (EWiRE) initiative aims to address the under-representation of women in our sector across the country, to ensure the sector is well placed to fulfil its potential. We have created a network of over 500 women who receive our regular updates and news about board positions, attend our training and events, and have the opportunity to sign up to our mentor programme. Programme aims Our aims are: To increase the visibility and profile of women working in sustainable energy businesses To increase the representation of women on boards and within senior management To promote the attractiveness of working in the sustainable energy sector to encourage wider female participation Inspiring events Inspiring networking events for women are a major part of the EWiRE initiative.
