Regen is pleased to announce a new ‘Peer Power’ initiative to help support community energy groups in Devon and Dorset to meet up regularly and share learning. From the experience gained from working in the community energy sector for over ten years, we want to help Dorset communities develop a peer network for new renewable energy projects and strengthen the existing Devon peer network. We are seeking individuals and communities in Dorset to come forward and take advantage of the free specialist help to generate clean and locally owned energy.

Five events are already planned by Regen to help communities get involved and develop their renewable energy ideas. Starting with an Innovation in Energy Efficiency networking event in Exeter, in partnership with ECOE, on Wednesday 1 March, and an inspirational Dorset renewables grand tour on Saturday 4 March. Other activities include complementary tickets to the Smart Energy Marketplace on 28 March; the Devon and Dorset Community Energy Feasts in summer; a Dorset Arts and Energy networking event in winter; and other free technical sessions throughout the year in Dorset.

The Peer Power project is funded by the independent charitable trust Power to Change, which was set up to grow and support community businesses in England, using the Big Lottery Fund.

If you’d like to join this new Dorset community energy network and take part in the free events, then please come along to the Dorset Renewables Grand Tour, Saturday 4 March 10:15 – 16:00, book here.
