10 November 2016, 12:30 – 17:00

TLT, Manchester

Delegates were able to transform their ability to engage and influence an audience at this workshop with trainer and actor Joe Sellman-Leava.

They learnt how to deliver a presentation with confidence – and even enjoy the experience.

This interactive class is ideal for women in the renewables sector who want to build their external profile.  Over the course of the half-day session, delgates learnt techniques that help to engage and influence an audience, whether speaking up in a meeting or delivering a presentation.

The workshop included:

  • Expert tips on how to overcome stage fright – and become more comfortable when presenting to a group of people
  • Tips on how to project your voice, hone your gestures and connect with your audience
  • Discuss and address fears & challenges of public speaking
  • Examine successful speeches and how you can adapt your style to maximise the impact of your content

Joe has applied his broad acting experience to the corporate world of presentations and meetings and uses key techniques to help delegates overcome their fears and transform their ability to influence an audience. Joe has recently written and performed the internationally acclaimed show Labels.

This training was run as part of the Entrepreneurial Women in Renewables initiative run by Regen SW and was kindly hosted by TLT.
