If you are passionate about your community, the environment and saving money, then this interactive event is for you! Come and find out more about what other communities have done, what the impacts are, and the support available to help you do your own energy projects.

So what is ‘Community Energy’?

Community Energy projects are community led, and benefit the local community. They can empower people, support stronger local economies, and help people save money on their energy bills. They include  projects that help reduce energy use, manage energy more efficiently, generate sustainable energy, or purchase energy more effectively.

This event is brought to you by Creative Rural Communities, the Vale of Glamorgan’s rural regeneration initiative. We work with communities and enterprises to develop innovative projects and ides that will create long term social and economic benefits for the Vale of Glamorgan. We have teamed up with energy experts Regen, who support the development of community energy projects across the UK.

At the event, you can expect to

  • Hear from inspiring rural community energy projects from across England and Wales
  • Develop ideas relating to community led energy projects in your area
  • Talk to the experts, from support organisations and community representatives in the know!

We hope that the event will inspire some of you to take the next steps in developing your own community energy projects, or at least to learn more. Creative Rural Communities will be on hand to with advice and funding to support you through the next stages of your project ideas.
