You will own one or more regular reports to deliver, with support from the team, on time and to the highest standard. You may also be asked to support consultancy projects with specific analysis and information. This could involve owning and developing excel databases, or developing new products to meet changes in the rapidly evolving energy landscape.

You will work closely with your team lead and other team members to prioritise work, report on progress, and to develop your role as you gain more knowledge of your specific field and the wider energy industry. In time, this could lead to you supporting training or other customer-facing forums and meetings.

Key tasks will included;

  • Gathering and logging of data from various sources, ensuring they are saved in a structured and orderly way
  • Be the main author of various Cornwall Insight reports for key customers, providing information and analysis on market movements and activity
  • Assist the team in researching and writing content for webinars and other project work
  • Provide contributions through research, analysis and writing to other products and services, including contributions to Energy Spectrum
  • Support Cornwall Insight delivered training activities and customer facing forums and meetings
  • Actively contribute to the development and delivery of new products and existing product enhancements

The ideal candidate will have;   

  • Excellent communication skills (essential)
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Fluid, flexible approach to work
  • The ability to work alone or within a team, with a supportive attitude to colleagues
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload (essential)  
  • Good MS Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the web, including searching for and downloading data
  • Experience working within an office environment (desirable)
  • Degree qualified to at least 2:1 (desirable)
