The survey identified 215 grid connected renewable electricity projects in the South West. An additional 64 projects have been identified since the last survey was undertaken in March 2006, 47 of which have been installed in the last year. The others are existing schemes which have been identified due to better reporting, and include two sewage gas schemes, one at Netheridge in Gloucestershire and one in Swindon, Wiltshire.

The installed capacity for renewable electricity now stands at 137 MW, up 14.4 MW since the last survey.
