Support for decision makers
Preparing the ground
We support decision makers, creating the right conditions for investment
Local authorities and strategic decision makers play a vital role in the development of the sustainable energy sector and the delivery of low carbon solutions. Regen SW works closely with these decision makers to ensure that their decisions are based on well evidenced policies and up to date information.
This webpage offers links to, and summaries of, the policies, resources, tools and support available to decision makers working on sustainable energy in the south west of England.
Recently, Regen SW has worked strategically across the local authorities of the south west to ensure an efficient and cost effective approach to planning for sustainable energy through the South West Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnership. We have worked with partners including the Department for Energy and Climate Change, south west councils and the Environment Agency to undertake resource assessments, develop tools and training for planners that will support local authorites in developing their evidence bases and implementing their policies on sustainable energy.
Regen SW will continue to try to find ways of supporting local authorites and decision makers in the development of their expertise and intelligence on sustainable energy.
