UK's Energy Technologies Institute closes in on Wave Hub floating wind turbine decision
The UK’s Energy Technologies Institute (ETI) will soon make a decision over the installation of its floating wind turbine prototype at the Wave Hub testing centre off southwest England.
Following initial studies, government-backed research body the ETI and Wave Hub have agreed to move to the next phase of the £25m ($40m) demonstrator project. That will involve further technical studies and site investigations.
