South West Woodland Show

9 September, Longleat Estate

The South West Woodland Show organised by ConFor South West is a biannual specialist forestry show which will be returning on 9 September 2011 at Longleat Estate, Wiltshire.

Confor has teamed up with the FOREST Programme UK Trade Show to showcase and bring together the rapidly growing renewable heat sector with the established timber industry. On the afternoon before the show, the FOREST programme is offering the opportunity to view the biomass boiler at HMP Guys Marsh Prison, to which all are welcome. Please contact rhayes@regensw.co.uk to reserve your place. During the South West Woodland show there will also be a series of short seminars in the FOREST marquee from 2-4pm, covering Supply Chain Capacity for Wood Fuel and learning from our forward-thinking European counterparts. Come along and find out more about biomass and the emerging opportunities, including the Renewable Heat Incentive. In addition to the activities in the FOREST marquee, many south west woodfuel suppliers and boiler installers will be exhibiting.

FOREST is a pan-European project that helps and supports business within the biomass heating supply chain to develop and increase profitability. Supported by the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme (IEE) and working across seven European regions, it develops business experience and shares business best practice. This collaborative working allows for lessons from successful markets in Sweden and Austria to be shared with the less developed markets in Poland, Spain, Ireland, Italy and the UK, with the aim of growing and strengthening the energy sector.

Regen SW is encouraging businesses from the bioheat sector to exhibit at the event.

Entry (incl catalogue): £8.50 in advance or £9.50 on the gate.
