Renewable Futures 2010 'Pioneering the decade of delivery'
Renewable Futures is the south west’s foremost sustainable energy event and enables companies to gain a business edge and an opportunity to influence the future direction of sustainable energy in the south west. Last year’s debate stirred intensive discussions about the future importance of sustainable energy.
Jonathon Porritt quizzed panellists on what they felt were the implications of the coalition government’s policy on delivering 2020 renewable targets.
Merlin Hyman, Regen SW chief executive, said: “Businesses benefited from hearing about the very latest on developments in this fast changing sector, and got the opportunity to have their say on the green agenda in front of key policy and decision makers. With Jonathon Porritt at the helm of the discussions, the debate was lively and posted some challenging questions.”
The two days also provided an excellent opportunity to promote what organisations have to offer the south west sustainable energy sector and develop a thriving supply chain by networking with other businesses and individuals.
More than 300 delegates attended this high profile event, including representatives from the public sector and local authorities, business leaders, policy influencers, key decision makers and a range of renewable and energy efficiency companies.
