UK and mainland Europe. The presentation will include some information on the economics of district heating and financial support mechanisms for DH infrastructure in the UK.

Examples of Vollmer Engineering low carbon district heating projects and services. To highlight the need for good systems engineering and project management of small and medium scale heat networks. Innovative solutions such as incorporating gas CHP to meet the summer hot water load of a biomass DH network.

Econergy

Examples of Econergy biomass projects including district heating to new build domestic residential units, social housing and other exemplar Econergy installations. To include some information of wood chip supply issues and on-site wood chip storage bunkers.

Examples of Vital Energi’s gas and biomass district heating projects including information on metering and billing customers for heat and options for the on-going operation and maintenance of DH networks including ESCo’s etc.
