Overview of task

The Regional Heat Map will provide an estimate of potential heat and energy demands from existing development and potential anchor heat loads. You should refine this analysis to provide more accurate data on actual heat loads based on:

  • Data for your own buildings, which you can obtain from your energy manager
  • Data on other public and commercial buildings, which you can obtain from discussion with relevant stakeholders
  • Estimates of how this heat (and cooling) load may change in future, based on improvements in energy efficiency, changes in use, refurbishments, expansions or contractions/ re-locations or demolitions
