Trustees
In order to ensure our independence and our focus on promoting renewable energy, energy efficiency and the low carbon economy Regen SW has eminent Trustees who can block changes to our Articles of Association that would change our strategic direction.
Our Trustees are:
Lord Robin Teverson
Robin is a member of the House of Lords where he leads on energy and climate change issues for the Liberal Democrats. In the late nineties he was a member of the European Parliament representing Cornwall and Plymouth. In Brussels and Strasbourg he took a particular interest in marine, environmental and regional policy issues . His business career has been in freight and logistics, and more recently the provision of finance to the small and medium sized business sector. He is currently chairman of Wessex Investors Limited. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Robin lives with his wife in Cornwall. He has two daughters.
Alan John
Alan is a partner with Osborne Clarke, solicitors. He works in Bristol and is head of the firm's Energy & Environment Group, a position he has held since 1990. He and his team have particular expertise in advising on renewable energy strategies for property development and a range of renewables projects including wind, landfill gas, biomass and biofuel, hydro, solar and geo-pressure. His experience ranges from involvement in microgeneration schemes to some of the largest windfarm projects in the UK. Alan has had a longstanding and close involvement in renewables in the South West: his first renewables project was Carland Cross windfarm in Cornwall and his team is a member of the consortium advising on the feasibility study for the Severn tidal project.
