Kerry Willcocks
Kerry joined Regen SW as a Graduate Intern, part of the Green energy awards case study programme. Kerry is currently studying towards a Bsc Geography degree at the University of Bristol. Kerry’s degree focuses on Physical Geography while Kerry’s dissertation focuses on quantifying uncertainty in synthetic aperture radar flood images in order to improve the usability of satellite images.
Kerry's desire to work with Regen SW developed because of her passion for business in the sustainable sector. Sustainability is the future and Kerry keen to be a part of this and work with companies that are dedicated to incorporating sustainable solutions in all areas of business. Kerry has a strong interest in the development of wind power and see this as a key technology for further development, both for improving the local environment and boosting the region’s economy.
Whilst working at Regen SW Kerry will be researching local companies and compiling case studies about the positive impact local sustainable businesses have on the South West. Kerry will be working primarily individually to research and gain the information but with both the Regen SW team and other interns in the production of information. This will improve Kerry’s knowledge of the sustainable sector giving her the opportunity to highlight the positive impact so many companies are having on the South West region.
This fantastic opportunity with Regen SW will build on Kerry's skills already learnt through volunteering, part time work and academic qualifications, giving Kerry the platform to succeed in such a dynamic and interesting sector.
