Jake Barnes

Jake joined the Regen SW team in January 2010 in order to assist in the collection and analysis of data for the Renewable Energy Progress Report: South West 2011 Annual Survey. Built upon survey data of renewable electricity and heat projects in the south west the report details the renewable energy resources in the south west, the progress being made towards harnessing them and lessons to be drawn in realising the potential of renewable energy across the UK.

Jake has an MSc in Energy Policy and Sustainability from Exeter University (2009) and a BA (Hons) in International Relations from the University of the West of England, Bristol.

Jake is particularly keen to develop the potential of community energy initiatives in sustainable transitions and is actively involved in the Easton Energy Group and the Bristol Energy Network.
